Thanks for your comments on Fr. Stephen’s blog. As converts, we can connect to (each other) one another in sharing our experiences, and when you described your first visit to an Antiochian Church, it brought back memories of my first experience as well. It’s interesting–the metamorphosis that takes place. We have beautiful icons on the iconostasis in our Church, and combining their visage with Orthodox music was a profound experience for me in those early months before I became Orthodox.

My reaction to icons, both in Church and at home, has evolved over time. The awe is always there every time I gaze upon them, but there’s alos a feeling of comfort, like I am gathered among old friends who have so much to teach me about the path to trying to live an Orthodox life.

we do have a couple ionic air purifiers and i would recommend one to anybody, we have a smoker next door at our complex and the nasty smell seeps into our place, the ionic air purifiers have solved out problem with the cigarette stench.

my mother is a smoker and my father is not, he purchased an ionic breeze from sharper image, and it really helped his allergies and respiratory problems, plus killed the smoke smell. he ended up getting one for almost every room. i would never have gotten one myself before i noticed how well they worked at my parent’s house.

Once i saw them in market locally… It is the product of Pakistan. No other country is making them.
I, being pakistani and local redisent… had an interest… used this lamp… and was really amazed by the affects in my surrounding atomosphere while infront of My PC or while watching television……. I remained fresh for hours.

This is a God gifted natural product….. I wish every one must have one………
